Frequently Asked Questions
Who is a good candidate for the Smart Lipo™ Laserlipolysis procedure?
If you have areas of fat that will not respond to diet and exercise, then you're a candidate for Laser Lipo. Ideal candidates are in good health, of normal body weight and have realistic expectations for the results.
How does Smart Lipo™ differ from liposuction?
Smart Lipo™ “We do not perform the traditional ‘jerk and poke’ lipo-suction. Rather, we use a cutting-edge technique recently approved by the FDA in March of 2007. Because we use no general anesthetics, it is not necessary to put the patient to sleep or on a respirator; thus, the risk of complications is vastly reduced.
This body-sculpting procedure is much less traumatic to the body, therefore, clients don’t have as much bruising and swelling. Instead of the usual two week post-operative time, they generally have a two day recovery. In addition, the procedure is much less expensive than the traditional method. The selling point of this procedure, however, is that the fat is not only removed, but the skin is actually tightened by the laser. This is what allows us to “sculpt” the body. By combining the various cosmetic techniques and wellness treatments offered at the clinic, the doctors want to help their clients live the best lives they can.
Smart Lipo™ is not for everyone, but a large portion of the population can be considered for the treatment.
Smart Lipo™ is not meant to replace a healthy lifestyle. You cannot become physically fit by undergoing Smart Lipo™. In order to be a qualified candidate, you must demonstrate that you have a healthy lifestyle and will respond positively to the treatment.
